Aimpoint micro mount is strong and light it’s just what I was looking for . I mounted this on a m16a1 retro upper receiver and it fit great but after I went to the range the mount got loose, so I put some lock tight on it and now it is fine and holds zero. Overall a great mounting option for old school uppers.
The KZ Mount is machined a bit longer than where it interfaces with the SPARC II, so the mount overhangs about 1mm both front and rear, but being designed for the Aimpoint Micro, it’s probably because of the difference betwen optics, not sloppiness in manufacture. At any rate, it’s hardly a snag point any more than the optic itself would be.
